Here is a great black and white photograph of the legendary comedy duo Laurel and Hardy, signed with a black fountain pen by Stan Laurel. Laurel wrote on the photo “Happy memories Harry + Laura! Good Luck! ‘63.” The Harry and Laura he addressed were a Seattle couple who had written to him about their recent marriage. Laurel had retired by this point and was very diligent about responding to mail from his fans. Oliver Hardy had passed on by the time this photo was signed. The photo measures 3 ˝ x 5 ˝ in. and is in excellent condition. Very slight horizontal lines appear in the scanned photo than are not on the real photograph. The scan also appears browner than actual photo. The autographs of Laurel and Hardy on the upper corners are pre-printed onto the photo. The inscription and the signature at the bottom of the picture are hand written. This was sent with the letter listed below, Item Number B017. This is a great collector's item.

This is a great letter typed and signed by legendary actor and comedian Stan Laurel of the comedy team, Laurel and Hardy. In the letter, Laurel wrote, “Dear Laura & Harry Sornell: Thanks your very nice letter 16th.inst. Appreciate very much your kind sentiments so warmly expressed. Note you were recently Married – sincerely wish you both many many years of happiness, good health & success – Take care – God Bless you. Sincerely always: STAN LAUREL.” The stationary used for the letter came from the hotel apartments where Laurel was then living. Laurel added his zip code with type writer to his stationary letterhead. Zip codes had just come into use earlier that year and he hadn’t changed his stationary yet. The envelope the letter was mailed in is included. It is postmarked August 24, 1963, the same date that is on the letter. The letter measures 5 ˝ x 8 ˝ in. The envelope is worn, but letter itself has been kept with extreme care and is in excellent condition. This was sent with the signed Laurel and Hardy photograph, Item Number B018. Highly collectable.
