This is a great First Day Cover (FDC) signed by silent movie actress Blanche Sweet. The FDC celebrates legendary silent movie director D.W. Griffith and is postmarked May 27, 1975. A short bio of Griffith is included on the back of the envelope. Sweet was Griffith's protege and they often worked together. On the envelope, she comments on Griffith as “a fine director and friend.” The cover is in great condition. Don't pass up this unique piece of movie history.

This is a wonderful First Day Cover signed by two of the greatest actresses of the silent film era, Blanche Sweet and Lillian Gish. The FDC, dated May 27, 1975, celebrates the legendary silent movie director, D.W. Griffith, with whom both Gish and Sweet worked frequently. It's in excellent condition.
